Controllership Analyst (Fintech): Managing and monitoring the Interbank Electronic Payments System (SPEI) operations with an accent on reconciliation, regulatory compliance, and treasury support. Focus on ensuring the accuracy of financial settlements, executing SPEI processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency.

Location: Must be based in or able to relocate to Mexico City or Queretaro. This is a hybrid role requiring office attendance 2-3 times per week.

What you will do

• Monitor and supervise connections to the SPEI system and execute transaction settlements.
• Perform intraday, operational, and accounting reconciliations for SPEI.
• Report balances according to contingency plans and manage treasury funding via SIAC.
• Define, map, and optimize SPEI-related operational processes.
• Collaborate with Compliance and Legal departments to address regulatory requirements.
• Conduct external audits and create detailed reports on payment operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Must be based in or able to relocate to Mexico City or Queretaro.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican payment systems (SPEI, SPID, SIAC, INDEVAL).
• Experience in FinOps, treasury, or accounting within financial institutions.
• Intermediate English proficiency required.
• Availability to work from the office on a hybrid basis.

• Proficiency in SQL, Scala, or Python.
