Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote; applications are restricted to the United States and the United Kingdom

Salary: $160,000–$190,000 per year, plus stock options

What you will do

• Develop and maintain performant web applications using Go, Vue, and related technologies.
• Build features spanning front-end and back-end systems.
• Translate customer needs into product features in collaboration with product management, design, and engineering.
• Review code and contribute to testing, debugging, and performance improvements.
• Improve product architecture, engineering practices, and overall software quality.

Requirements

• Advanced Go experience and experience working with large Go codebases.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs, tuning SQL queries, and working with relational databases.
• Experience designing and optimizing data structures, schemas, and indexes.
• Understanding of web service architecture, caching, HTTP, and browser security.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub, CI/CD, testing, debugging, profiling, and software optimization.
• Experience with a major cloud provider; AWS is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with PostgreSQL, Linux, and Vue.
• Familiarity with network design, security, and scanning.
