Privacy Analyst

TL;DR

Privacy Analyst (Legal/Compliance): Supporting the development and maintenance of the corporate legal privacy program with an accent on reviewing technical documentation and ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations. Focus on conducting Privacy Impact Assessments, mapping data flows, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to manage personal data obligations.

Location: Must be based in New York, NY and able to work from the office 4 days per week.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 yearly.

What you will do

• Review technical and operational documentation to ensure compliance with personal data collection and usage requirements.
• Support business clients in completing Privacy Impact Assessments and mapping personal data flows.
• Liaise with internal business verticals including HR, InfoSec, and Marketing to ensure privacy obligations are met.
• Assist legal teams with Consent Management Platforms and tracking tool reviews.
• Prepare quarterly compliance reports and improve operational privacy workflows.
• Support various security and privacy-related projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years of experience summarizing complex information into business-friendly terms.
• 2+ years of experience working with privacy and security-related matters.
• Proven research and analytical skills with the ability to work independently.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a self-directed environment.

Nice to have

• IAPP Designation (CIPP/CIPM) preferred.
