VP, First Line Risk and Compliance (Fintech): Strengthening and operating the first line control environment for commercial lending activities with an accent on disciplined credit risk practices across the end-to-end lifecycle. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Chevy Chase, MD (Hybrid: 4 days per week in-office)
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 per year

What you will do
- Serve as the primary first line control leader for Commercial Lending Operations.
- Design and implement first line controls and monitoring routines focused on credit quality drivers.
- Partner with second line functions and audit to support control testing and regulatory exams.
- Lead issue identification, root cause analysis, and remediation planning for credit policy exceptions.
- Provide guidance to lending and operations teams on control execution and documentation standards.
- Prepare reporting and metrics on control performance for senior management and governance committees.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Finance, or Risk Management preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial lending, banking operations, or risk management within a regulated financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of middle-market commercial lending products and banking regulations.
- Experience designing and implementing first line risk controls and monitoring programs.
- Ability to effectively partner with business leaders while maintaining independent risk judgment.
- Must be able to work in a hybrid environment with 4 days per week in-office in Chevy Chase, MD.
