What you will do

• Design robust feature representations from behavioral data to predict user intent.
• Architect sequential and recency-aware systems to adapt to shifting user preferences.
• Solve cold-start problems using cohort signals, clustering, and content embeddings.
• Integrate model scores with operations-research engines for business-aware re-ranking.
• Evolve personalization systems using multi-stage retrieval, ranking, and gradient-boosted trees.
• Define offline evaluation metrics and design online A/B tests to measure causal impact.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data science or applied machine learning.
• Must be based in the U.S. as the company does not sponsor work visas.
• Deep expertise in personalization, search ranking, or recommender systems.
• Production-level engineering skills in Python and SQL.
• Strong grounding in statistics, causal inference, and experimentation.
• Commercial mindset to translate business constraints into scalable ML architectures.

Nice to have

• Experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or JAX.
• Knowledge of probabilistic or hierarchical Bayesian modeling.
• Background in mathematical optimization or operations research.
• Experience with reinforcement learning or contextual bandits.
