What you will do

• Design and analyze A/B tests, multi-armed bandits, and quasi-experiments to measure the impact of product changes.
• Apply causal inference techniques to estimate treatment effects in non-randomized settings.
• Develop retention measurement frameworks and track core engagement metrics (DAU, WAU, MAU).
• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines using PySpark and SQL to process large datasets.
• Develop automated dashboards in Tableau, Looker, or Metabase to monitor experiment performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business questions into data-driven analyses.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or experimentation.
• Strong background in statistics, hypothesis testing, and causal inference.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn).
• Experience with experimentation tools (e.g., Optimizely, Statsig) and retention metrics.
• Familiarity with big data tools like PySpark or Hadoop.
• Must be based in the Bay Area to support the hybrid work model.

Nice to have

• Expertise in PySpark for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a quantitative field.
• Experience with time-series forecasting, survival analysis, or uplift modeling.
