Assistant Controller

What you will do

• Drive process and system automation to improve accounting workflows and compress month-end close cycles.
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Tax.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes ensuring audit-ready results.
• Maintain and optimize SOX internal controls and ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Partner with auditors to facilitate seamless audits and reviews.
• Build and mentor a high-performing accounting operations team.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or able to work in Sunnyvale, CA with hybrid work format.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience including public company and audit background; Big 4 preferred.
• 5+ years of leadership experience managing accounting teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and active CPA license required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, PCAOB standards, and SOX controls.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite, and process automation.
