Compensation: $110,000–$135,000/year

What you will do

• Review and interpret complex Environmental and Professional Liability policies, including manuscript forms.
• Analyze coverage issues related to pollution conditions, remediation costs, and third-party liability.
• Draft coverage position letters, including reservations of rights and denial letters.
• Coordinate with environmental consultants, engineers, and legal counsel to evaluate liability and damages.
• Develop and implement strategic approaches for claim resolution, including oversight of litigation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for internal teams and carriers regarding coverage trends.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active bar membership OR 7–10+ years of senior-level experience in complex environmental/professional liability claims.
• Active adjuster licenses and willingness to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Demonstrated expertise in coverage analysis and policy interpretation.
• Strong understanding of environmental exposures, remediation processes, and long-tail liability.
• Ability to manage multiple high-severity claims independently.
• Proficiency with claims management systems and tools.

Nice to have

• Direct experience handling pollution/environmental claims and site remediation.
• Familiarity with contractor pollution liability or combined environmental/professional programs.
• Background in program business or specialty lines.
