Senior Counsel (Insurance Defense)

Location: New York City, NY; hybrid work arrangement

Base salary: $150,000–$200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

What you will do

• Develop compelling case themes and litigation strategies.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, trials, discovery, and full case management.
• Communicate routinely with clients and cultivate relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys across experience levels.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to less experienced attorneys.

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-approved law school.
• Active license to practice law in the State of New York is required.
• 8+ years of solid litigation experience, including litigation support, deposition, and trial preparation.
• Ability to manage all facets of discovery, trial preparation, and full case handling.
• Experience with time-management systems and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Independent judgment, minimal supervision, and outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
