Senior Accountant

Location: Hybrid, onsite Tuesday–Thursday in Maple Plain, Minnesota, United States. Due to ITAR regulations, the role is open only to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or foreign nationals with refugee or asylee status. Temporary visa holders are not eligible.

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and post journal entries and account reconciliations for the monthly close.
• Perform variance analysis, explain fluctuations, and present financial results in close meetings.
• Own general ledger areas, equity accounting, stock-based compensation, and related supporting schedules.
• Research technical accounting topics and prepare memos for complex or non-routine transactions.
• Maintain SOX controls, support internal and external audits, and prepare walkthrough and testing documentation.
• Guide staff accountants and partner with finance, operations, and other cross-functional teams on process improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience with exposure to publicly traded companies.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant environment and strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, improve processes, control costs, and support accurate and timely reporting.
• Strong communication, ownership, collaboration, ethical standards, and sound judgment.
• Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements and be authorized to work in the United States; temporary visa holders are not eligible.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with equity accounting and stock-based compensation.
• Experience with technical accounting research and drafting accounting memos.
