Senior Accountant (Medtech)

Location: San Mateo, California; hybrid, 3 days a week

Salary: $115,000–$126,000 per year

What you will do

• Own month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Lead monthly revenue reconciliation and analyze account balances and expenses against historical results and budgets.
• Support internal and external audits, public-company readiness, and technical accounting initiatives.
• Prepare technical accounting memos, process flow charts, accounting schedules, and reporting analyses.
• Submit monthly sales tax filings to state government agencies.
• Develop SOX compliance procedures and partner with cross-functional teams on accounting process improvements and ad hoc projects.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience working at a public company or in auditing.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or an equivalent field.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, consistent application of policies and standards, and ability to meet deadlines.
• CPA certification, progress toward a CPA designation, or an equivalent certification is preferred.
• Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States or be eligible for a sponsorship path supported by hirify.global.
