Senior Solutions Architect (AI)

TL;DR

Senior Solutions Architect (AI): Supporting the Commercial Sales team by driving technical evaluations and expanding production usage of Temporal with an accent on distributed systems architecture and AI/agentic workload orchestration. Focus on building strong technical relationships with engineering leaders and creating reusable assets to scale impact in a high-velocity consumption-based business model.

Location: Must reside in San Francisco, CA (Hybrid role with remote flexibility).

Compensation: $200,000 - $250,000 OTE.

What you will do

• Partner with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, run technical evaluations, and expand production usage.
• Lead technical discussions with developers and engineering leaders to align Temporal with their business objectives.
• Build tailored demos and proof-of-concepts, including orchestration of AI and agentic workloads.
• Deliver enablement sessions to help customer engineering teams adopt Temporal effectively.
• Create reusable technical assets to accelerate deals and scale team impact.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to surface field insights for the roadmap.

Requirements

• Must reside in San Francisco, CA.
• Strong development background with hands-on coding experience in Go, Java, TypeScript, or Python.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, including reliability, observability, and fault tolerance.
• Proven experience in a pre-sales, customer-facing engineering, or solutions architecture role.
• Exceptional time management and prioritization skills for high-volume environments.
• Enthusiasm for AI/ML technologies and LLM orchestration.

Nice to have

• Experience with workflow engines like Temporal or Cadence.
• Background in commercial SaaS offerings competing with open-source alternatives.
• Contributions to developer tooling or open-source projects.
• Cloud provider certifications (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
