TL;DR

Actuary: Providing advanced actuarial analyses and subject matter expertise to support underwriting decisions with an accent on pricing, reserving, and capital model parameterisation. Focus on managing stakeholder relationships, mentoring junior staff, and delivering technical projects for portfolio management.

Location: Must be based in London, UK (Hybrid: 2 days per week in office)

What you will do

• Provide technical and operational support to the product team for specified underwriting divisions.
• Manage reserving and pricing activities, including large account pricing and pricing tool validation.
• Lead and mentor junior actuarial students.
• Own core processes for external reporting and deliverables.
• Engage with senior stakeholders across Finance, Underwriting, Capital, and Claims.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to commute to the London office at least two days a week.
• Proficiency in a wide variety of actuarial disciplines related to pricing and reserving.
• Experience engaging with senior underwriters and presenting at formal management meetings.
• Proven ability to manage workloads and influence cross-functional teams.
• Experience in business planning and parameterisation of underwriting and reserve risk.
