What you will do

• Lead the portfolio solutions strategy, including performance, growth, and underwriting discipline.
• Build and develop a high-performing, inclusive team and operating model.
• Underwrite and manage UK and EMEA portfolios within agreed appetite and guidelines.
• Develop broker and market-stakeholder relationships across the London and EMEA markets.
• Identify, structure, and deliver portfolio and hybrid opportunities with scalable capacity deployment.
• Collaborate with global leadership and underwriting, actuarial, claims, and legal functions while maintaining governance and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Experience in individual risk or portfolio/treaty reinsurance underwriting.
• Experience with structured or hybrid reinsurance solutions, facilities, programs, treaty-adjacent environments, or facultative underwriting with portfolio exposure.
• Leadership experience building, influencing, and developing teams and operating models.
• Strong London Market presence and broker-community relationships.
• Commercial and strategic approach to underwriting and business development.
• Ability to operate at pace, navigate complexity, and contribute to portfolio growth.

Nice to have

• Property underwriting experience at the insurance or reinsurance level.
