Automated Test Engineer (Cypress)

Location: United States; U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph are required.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on years of experience.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API test scripts using Cypress.
• Execute automated test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and document defects and testing metrics.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI/CD.
• Collaborate with software developers, system engineers, and product owners to validate enhancements and ensure test coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning and demos.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and a current Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; a master’s degree may substitute for two years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience designing, writing, and maintaining automated tests with Cypress.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and experience testing modern web applications, RESTful microservices, and APIs.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile development, Jira, Confluence, and Git.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, plus familiarity with AWS, Docker, and government reporting and dissemination policies.
