TL;DR
Automated Test Engineer (Cypress): Designing and maintaining robust automated UI and API test suites for government-focused authoring and dissemination tools with an accent on quality, reliability, and performance. Salary: $130,000–$270,000

What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated UI and API test scripts using Cypress.
- Execute test suites, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and document defects and metrics.
- Partner with DevOps and software engineers to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning and demos.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and bug fixes.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen and hold a Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a favorable Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Proven experience designing and maintaining automated tests using Cypress.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test script development.
- Experience testing modern web applications, RESTful microservices, and APIs.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Nice to have
- Experience configuring automated tests within GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud-based architecture.
- Basic understanding of Docker for containerization.
- Domain knowledge of government agency reporting and dissemination policies.
