What you will do

  • Build core mission planning services and algorithms for a growing satellite constellation.
  • Shape the architecture and design of mission planning systems to ensure scalability and long-term operability.
  • Run and maintain mission planning systems in live production environments.
  • Define engineering standards for CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, observability, and safety.
  • Translate mission requests into executable satellite telecommands via the telecommand database.
  • Collaborate with Flight Operations, Dynamics, Payload, and Product teams to align technical direction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 2–3+ years of experience in satellite/spacecraft operations or ground segment/MCS development.
  • Strong software engineering background in systems programming (ideally Rust, or C/C++).
  • Solid understanding of spacecraft subsystems (AOCS, power, thermal, communications).
  • Experience with telemetry analysis, command systems, and Linux server administration.
  • Eligibility for security clearance restricted to nationals of NATO member states.

Nice to have

  • Experience with LEO Earth Observation missions.
  • Knowledge of mission planning systems and SCOS-2000 / MIB configuration.
  • Background in Launch and Early Orbit Phase (LEOP) or in-orbit commissioning.
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-scaling environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure or AI-assisted development tools.
