What you will do

• Take end-to-end ownership of the software development life cycle for virtualization components.
• Develop and maintain the EC2 Nitro Hypervisor and associated off-host software.
• Drive operational excellence by improving the quality and performance of hypervisor platforms.
• Collaborate with global hardware, software, and firmware teams to deliver innovative solutions.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

• Professional experience working on the Linux Kernel.
• Professional experience in C programming.
• Proficiency in at least one CPU architecture such as x86 or ARM.
• Solid understanding of operating system internals.
• Must be based in or able to work from Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

• Extensive professional experience with the Linux Kernel.
• Experience working on hypervisors such as KVM, Xen, or Hyper-V.
• Deep understanding of performance-critical areas of the Linux Kernel.
