AI Engineer (Python)

TL;DR

AI Engineer (Python/LLM): Building reusable foundations to accelerate the adoption of agentic AI and ML for a large-scale client with an accent on designing, building, and deploying agentic AI solutions. Focus on prototyping AI use cases, integrating LLMs with scalable data pipelines, and ensuring model reliability in production.

Location: Hybrid (London or Manchester, UK) - 2 days per week in office

What you will do

• Prototype and iterate on AI use cases rapidly.
• Develop and implement agentic workflows and integrate LLMs, APIs, and data pipelines into scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders to refine requirements for AI adoption.
• Ensure model performance, reliability, and implement monitoring.
• Contribute to best practices in AI engineering and MLOps.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python and experience with agent frameworks.
• Experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Solid understanding of data pipelines and APIs.
• Experience deploying AI models in production environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Must be based in or able to commute to London or Manchester for hybrid work

Nice to have

• Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Exposure to MLOps tooling, including CI/CD, monitoring, and model versioning.
• Experience working within regulated industries such as energy or utilities.
