Tech Lead, Fleet Response Infrastructure (Fullstack)

Location: Onsite or Hybrid in Mountain View, California or San Francisco, California

Salary: $251,000—$310,000 USD

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end reliability and performance of mission-critical web applications used for real-time autonomous vehicle support.
• Lead frontend and backend infrastructure, including the development of robust APIs and integration with upstream and downstream services.
• Scale the Fleet Response platform to meet stringent reliability, performance, and functionality requirements.
• Guide cross-functional engineers on the optimal utilization and design of web application systems.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers on infrastructure design, technical execution, and engineering best practices.
• Partner with SRE teams to drive global scalability and maintain high availability of real-time platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of industry experience with full-stack web applications (frontend and backend).
• Proficiency with web client architectures, specifically Angular, TypeScript, and RxJS.
• Experience leading technical designs and mentoring engineers on complex, multi-quarter projects.
• Must be based in or able to work from Mountain View or San Francisco, California.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++.
• Background in building high-reliability distributed systems or RPC services.
• Proven track record of successful partnerships with SRE teams.
• Ability to effectively bridge communication between technical and non-technical groups.
