Senior Litigation Counsel

Location: Remote work from anywhere in the world; access to global offices, with Dubai listed as a location. Travel may be required for court appearances, depositions, or external counsel meetings.

What you will do

• Direct and manage high-stakes, multi-jurisdictional commercial litigation, international arbitration, and financial recovery cases involving frozen balances, unauthorized transactions, or overpaid funds.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, briefs, and other documents across UAE, UK, EU, and Hong Kong jurisdictions.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, document review, e-discovery, and settlement or alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
• Coordinate local counsel, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, internal clients, and other professionals.
• Develop case strategies and theories, conduct legal research, and maintain organized case files, litigation calendars, and case management systems.
• Contribute to knowledge management, internal status reporting, proposals, client presentations, legal templates, and research databases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law.
• 7–10 years of litigation or dispute resolution experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.
• Experience in commercial litigation.
• Strong analytical, legal research, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and use legal databases.
• Solid understanding of civil procedure, rules of evidence, and local court rules.
• Proficiency in e-discovery platforms, litigation support software, case management software, and legal project management tools, including document review and e-discovery processes.
• Knowledge of legal technology and its application in litigation practice; practical knowledge of Google Workspace, Notion, and LLMs.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, including professional interaction with internal clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel; familiarity with alternative dispute resolution processes; English and Russian proficiency.
• Willingness to travel as needed, flexibility to work extended hours when required by case demands, and commitment to ongoing legal education and staying current with relevant laws and regulations.
