What you will do

• Build and lead the local finance function from the ground up, including accounting and month-end close processes.
• Own all regulatory, prudential, and statutory financial reporting.
• Act as the primary finance contact for local regulators and external auditors.
• Oversee capital, liquidity, and balance sheet management in partnership with Risk and Treasury.
• Establish financial governance and control frameworks to ensure audit readiness.
• Provide budgeting, forecasting, and financial insights to the CEO and Board for strategic decision-making.

Requirements

• Must be based in Canada
• CPA or equivalent international accounting designation.
• 10+ years of senior finance experience within a regulated banking or deposit-taking institution.
• Proven experience signing or overseeing statutory financial statements in a regulated environment.
• Expertise in IFRS and consolidated financial reporting.
• Experience building finance controls and governance frameworks from scratch.
