TL;DR
Head of Finance (Fintech): Rebuilding the finance function from the ground up for a VC-backed private markets platform with an accent on capital management, forecasting, and M&A finance. Focus on architecting a scalable finance function from Series B to exit, leading ERP implementation, and managing investor reporting.
Location: Hybrid in London (3 days/week in office)

What you will do
- Own the full budgeting cycle end-to-end, including monthly variance reviews and quarterly budget control processes.
- Build and maintain robust cash forecasting models and provide updates on burn rate and runway.
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial performance updates for board meetings and investors.
- Establish analytical foundations for unit economics, cohort analyses, and profitability modelling.
- Lead all financial aspects of equity rounds and M&A activities, including due diligence and post-merger integration.
- Manage banking relationships, liquidity optimization strategies, and lead the implementation of a group-wide ERP system.
Requirements
- 6+ years of progressive in-house finance experience in SaaS, VC-backed environments, PE, or investment banking.
- At least 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Proven experience managing VC-backed financing rounds post-Series B.
- Expertise in building robust financial models from scratch for multi-entity and multi-currency structures.
- Familiarity with accounting, billing, and spend management tools (e.g., DATEV, Stripe, Moss, Spendesk) and ERPs like NetSuite.
- English: C1 proficiency required.
