What you will do

• Lead end-to-end feature development across the full technology stack using Python, AWS, Django, and Vue.js.
• Own the design, development, and maintenance of robust APIs and complex orchestration pipelines.
• Integrate Agentic AI frameworks to automate internal developer workflows and increase team velocity.
• Contribute to the long-term technical roadmap and provide architectural feedback for system scalability.
• Ensure all software deployments comply with FDA regulations for medical devices.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion engineering best practices through code reviews.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science with 5+ years of experience, or MS/PhD with 3+ years.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Strong cloud development experience with AWS (Kubernetes, CDK, Lambdas, ECS, Fargate).
• Experience with modern web frameworks, specifically Django and Vue.js.
• Deep understanding of backend and frontend security best practices.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience developing regulated medical software (SaMD) in compliance with FDA.
• Advanced proficiency in Nginx, Pytest, and GitHub Actions.
• Experience building complex distributed systems and cloud-native APIs.
