What you will do

• Define and drive architectural decisions across multiple teams, balancing sustainability with delivery needs.
• Contribute production-quality code to high-complexity features and platform services using Python and React.
• Lead major refactors and modernization efforts to improve performance, observability, and maintainability.
• Mentor senior and intermediate engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and coaching.
• Collaborate with Product and DevOps teams to shape the roadmap and optimize AWS cloud resource efficiency.
• Establish and champion engineering standards and best practices to improve developer productivity organization-wide.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 3+ years at a senior or staff level.
• Deep expertise in Python and a modern web framework (Django, FastAPI, or Flask), plus proficiency in React.
• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of complex, multi-team technical initiatives.
• Strong command of distributed systems, API design, and data consistency patterns.
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD toolchains (Jenkins, Helm, ArgoCD).
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in the healthcare technology sector, specifically with HIPAA requirements.
• Familiarity with message queues like RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana.
• Knowledge of GoLang.
