Fullstack Software Engineer

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 (USD/CAD)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain features that solve real-world customer problems in public transit.
• Partner with Product and Design teams to validate needs and technical approaches.
• Prototype quickly to de-risk projects and iterate ideas into production-ready solutions.
• Communicate technical trade-offs and document architectural decisions clearly.
• Apply modern software engineering practices to ensure robust and extensible systems.
• Uplevel teammates through code reviews, pairing, and active collaboration.

Requirements

• Must be based in the U.S., Ontario, or British Columbia.
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Node/JavaScript.
• Experience building and consuming APIs with SQL and non-relational databases.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and services (AWS preferred).
• No visa sponsorship available.

Nice to have

• Experience building real-time data processing systems.
• Proficiency in building modern frontends, specifically with Vue.js.
• Comfort applying modern AI tools to accelerate development.
