What you will do

• Translate complex business requirements into well-scoped engineering projects.
• Architect and influence complex data systems, establishing design standards and best practices.
• Develop a north star vision for data and AI domains to remove technical roadblocks.
• Design scalable, resilient, and highly available distributed systems for large-scale data processing.
• Mentor senior individual contributors and coach the broader data engineering community.
• Communicate technical strategy and design patterns to executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 12+ years of experience (or Master's with 10+ years).
• Demonstrated experience defining data engineering and architecture best practices at an organizational level.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or Scala.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, streaming technology, and performance optimization.
• Experience architecting distributed systems and building scalable data products.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Experience with machine learning and AI-driven solution design.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms and enterprise information management.
