What you will do

• Develop and implement advanced visual reasoning systems to understand complex spatial relationships and object interactions in real-time.
• Design autonomous AI agents capable of intelligent decision-making based on visual inputs.
• Analyze customer behavior patterns and adapt systems to dynamic retail environments.
• Perform complex scene understanding, reason about object permanence, and predict customer intentions through visual cues.
• Tackle challenging, novel problems spanning computer vision, machine learning, and distributed systems.
• Mentor other scientists and collaborate with multiple technical teams across Amazon.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building models for business applications.
• PhD, or Master's degree with 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or a related language.
• Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing.
• Work authorization for the USA is required.

• Experience using Unix/Linux.
