Senior Accountant

Location: Remote, United States; working hours aligned with U.S. client business hours.

hirify.global is hiring for a remote accounting position supporting core accounting operations and financial decision-making.

What you will do

• Lead full-cycle general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, payroll allocations, depreciation, deferred revenue, and intercompany transactions.
• Manage monthly and quarterly close processes, reconciliations, trial balances, supporting schedules, and close checklists.
• Prepare financial statements, variance analyses, management reporting, board reporting, and written financial commentary.
• Support external audits, tax-related documentation, GAAP/IFRS compliance, and internal accounting controls.
• Identify accounting workflow inefficiencies and contribute to ERP optimization, automation, SOP development, and scalable reporting.
• Review staff accountant and bookkeeper work, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with FP&A, operations, and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4–5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting principles.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, SAP, or a similar ERP platform.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, and reconciliation templates.
• Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes.

Nice to have

• CPA, ACCA, or equivalent accounting certification.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidations and foreign currency accounting.
• Background in SaaS, professional services, real estate, or multi-entity businesses.
• Experience supporting ERP implementations or finance automation initiatives.
• Familiarity with accounting workflow tools, dashboards, and reporting systems.
