What you will do

• Develop a risk-based internal audit plan for Australian operations in partnership with the Head of Internal Audit
• Deliver end-to-end internal audits including scoping, risk and control assessments, and reporting findings
• Formalize audit deliverables, templates, and procedures
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business priorities and inform risk assessments
• Validate management’s completion of actions related to prior audit findings
• Report audit progress and findings to internal governance forums

Requirements

• Must have 5+ years experience in audit roles within banking, financial services, or regulated environments
• Knowledge of Australian banking and financial services regulatory requirements
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as SQL, SAS, Python, or R
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to operate in ambiguous and agile organizational structures

Nice to have

• Experience auditing agile organizations
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CA, or ACA
• Experience auditing credit, finance, or financial crime operations
