What you will do

• Own the backlog of statutory audits and manage the relationship with external auditors.
• Prepare statutory financial statements for Australian and US entities in accordance with AASB and IFRS.
• Maintain consolidation workpapers, intercompany eliminations, and support M&A reporting.
• Ensure general ledger accuracy and develop technical accounting memos for complex treatments.
• Oversee tax compliance including income tax, GST, FBT, and R&D incentive claims.
• Provide technical oversight for payroll compliance across AU and US jurisdictions.

Requirements

• CA or CPA qualification is a firm requirement.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience with significant external audit exposure.
• Deep expertise in statutory financial statements and accounting standards.
• Strong AU tax expertise (income tax, GST, FBT, payroll tax); US experience is highly desired.
• Experience with multi-entity consolidation and intercompany eliminations.
• Ability to translate complex accounting positions into clear communication for leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with US GAAP.
• Previous experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment.
