What you will do

  • Manage the end-to-end month-end close process, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheet reports.
  • Analyze actual results against forecasts and budgets, providing variance commentary.
  • Support data and system migration projects, specifically transitioning to NetSuite.
  • Collaborate with project managers to review project bookings and financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and support external audit requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial accounting roles.
  • Professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA) or working towards completion.
  • Strong technical accounting skills and deep understanding of accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite, SuiteProjects, and Microsoft Office 365 (including PowerBI).
  • Ability to adapt to new financial systems and maintain effective internal controls.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the Canberra office.
