Safety, Health & Environmental Intern

TL;DR

Safety, Health & Environmental Intern (SHEQ/ISO): Support the hirify.global SHEQ alignment project by assisting with documentation, SHEQ formats/records/checklists, and information collection for ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and RCE requirements. Focus on implementing and maintaining safety and environmental compliance activities, supporting risk assessment follow-ups, and updating SDS and chemical management documentation.

Location: On-site at the office in Queretaro, MX, Mexico

What you will do

• Assist with documentation and updates for the company SHE policy and procedures under the SHE Manager.
• Develop, update, and control SHEQ formats, records, and checklists.
• Support day-to-day department activities and help coordinate reports, training materials, and programs.
• Research and propose solutions to improve SHE across the facility and support program delivery administration.
• Support follow-up actions from risk assessments and action items for Monterrey and Querétaro locations.
• Assist ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation activities, including SDS updates and chemical management documentation.

Requirements

• Student at an accredited college or university in Environmental Health Safety Sciences, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Authorization to work in Mexico.
• No prior experience required.
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, independent, flexible, organized, and methodical.
• Adaptable in a new environment.
