What you will do

• Manage end-to-end global payroll operations across the U.S. and international regions.
• Build and automate scalable payroll systems in partnership with Finance, People Ops, and Legal.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and international tax and statutory regulations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leadership regarding payroll, taxes, and equity.
• Analyze payroll data to drive process improvements and support global workforce planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of payroll experience in high-growth, global technology companies.
• Strong expertise in U.S. multi-state payroll and international payroll (EMEA/APAC).
• Deep knowledge of compliance, tax regulations, and year-end filings (W-2, 1099, equity withholding).
• Proficiency with payroll/HR systems like ADP, Gusto, Rippling, Workday, or Deel.
• Proactive, systems-minded approach to building processes in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting global expansion and new entity setup.
• Familiarity with equity compensation tax implications.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) or similar certification.
• Experience designing payroll audits and controls.
