What you will do

• Own end-to-end bi-weekly payroll processing for US and Canadian employees using Workday Payroll.
• Process complex equity events, including RSU vesting, NSOs, ISOs, and other stock-based compensation.
• Manage multi-state and cross-border payroll tax compliance across federal, state, provincial, and local levels.
• Partner with HR, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Equity Administration to ensure operational excellence.
• Support month-end accounting activities, general ledger reconciliations, and SOX compliance audits.
• Drive process improvements and AI-enabled automation to increase payroll efficiency and scalability.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in complex US and Canadian payroll operations.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (required).
• Proven track record of processing high-volume payrolls (1,000+ employees) with high accuracy.
• Strong knowledge of US/Canadian tax regulations, including CRA remittances and ROE filings.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with export control regulations.

Nice to have

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or FPC designation.
• Experience leading Workday Payroll implementations, upgrades, or configurations.
• Experience managing SOX Prepared-by-Client (PBC) requests.
