Senior Software Engineer II, Full-Stack (Python/React)

Location: Toronto, Canada

Salary: CA$186,838–CA$299,886 per year; expected OTE of CA$205,600–CA$330,000 per year, including performance-based compensation.

What you will do

• Build and evolve Cloud Data Ingestion systems that connect customers’ cloud warehouse data to the hirify.global platform.
• Develop Data Transformation capabilities for customizing data flows from external sources into hirify.global.
• Own features end-to-end, including backend systems and frontend experiences.
• Drive architectural decisions and contribute to technical strategy.
• Design systems that process high volumes of data and support an expanding set of hirify.global features.

Requirements

• 6+ years of full-stack software development experience focused on scalable web applications.
• Strong understanding of software design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Technical leadership experience, including architectural decision-making.
• Self-directed approach, strong communication and organizational skills, and experience working in an agile environment.
• Willingness to learn the technologies needed to deliver customer solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience building software at scale with high data and traffic volumes.
• Experience with automated data pipelines, asynchronous processing, or ETL applications using Kafka, Airflow, Sidekiq, SQS, or RabbitMQ.
• Professional experience with Python/Django, React, Ruby on Rails, Snowflake, microservices, or distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern data warehousing, BI, and analytics.
• Experience with agile processes and incremental delivery of high-quality software.
