Salary: $180,000 – $220,000

What you will do
- Provide technical oversight and coverage/liability insights for complex specialty claims including Cyber, Crime, and Professional Liability.
- Develop and implement claim resolution strategies in close collaboration with claims professionals and managers.
- Act as a key coverage resource, directing coverage counsel and overseeing complex coverage litigation.
- Drive technical excellence across the organization through mentoring, education, and the creation of governance guidelines.
- Partner with Senior Leadership, Underwriting, and Actuaries on reserve movements, litigation developments, and loss mitigation.
- Maintain the claims Watchlist and monitor emerging legal trends to assess their impact on the business.
Requirements
- Must be based in New York (Manhattan) to support a hybrid work schedule (2 days/week in office).
- 7+ years of insurance and/or law firm practice/litigation experience.
- Proven experience in handling complex, high-severity claims.
- Strong working knowledge of insurance coverage and coverage litigation.
- JD degree is strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of claims or law firm leadership experience is preferred.
