What you will do

• Set the technical direction for the personalization platform, charting the path toward an autonomous, agent-assisted future.
• Build the intelligence layer by combining LLM-powered and classic ML approaches to personalize marketing at scale.
• Own high-leverage problems including reliable high-volume sending, experimentation engines, and data quality.
• Turn one-off campaign work into a durable platform to create leverage for the entire engineering team.
• Amplify the engineers around you through mentorship, high standards, and thoughtful design reviews.
• Shape the product roadmap alongside Product, Data, and Marketing teams.

Requirements

• Staff-level technical leadership with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record of owning and driving ambitious, multi-person initiatives across team boundaries.
• Strong backend and systems depth with experience designing reliable, high-scale services and data pipelines.
• Data- and experimentation-driven mindset with experience applying ML and AI to real product problems.
• Ability to align stakeholders and influence decisions across teams.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for impact.
