What you will do

• Design and harden product features within a compliance-regulated cloud environment with a focus on security and data privacy.
• Build features specific to AWS GovCloud, including authentication methods and audit capabilities.
• Develop abstractions and tooling to enable engineers to test and deploy features in government environments without direct access.
• Analyze application security gaps and implement hardening changes to meet government standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align compliance requirements with engineering reality.
• Support self-hosted federal customers and handle complex support escalations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and reside in the United States.
• Experience building software in compliance-regulated or security-sensitive environments (e.g., FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA).
• Strong ability to reason about application-layer security, encryption, and access control.
• Customer-obsessed mindset with a willingness to debug complex issues across the stack.
• Eagerness to work with Ruby, TypeScript, and other common tools in our stack.
