What you will do

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances in standalone and clustered architectures across on-premises and Azure IaaS environments.
• Manage high availability through Failover Clustering, Always On availability groups, and replication.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and performance tuning using T-SQL, query optimization, and monitoring tools.
• Administer SSRS and SSIS packages for reporting and ETL operations.
• Maintain MySQL 8.x instances on Ubuntu Linux and support data integration with Oracle and other enterprise systems.
• Ensure security compliance by applying patches, managing encryption (TDE), and supporting FISMA assessment activities.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of SQL Server database administration experience.
• Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrated experience with SQL Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 in Windows and Azure environments.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, performance tuning, and security administration.

Nice to have

• Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification.
• Experience with federal agency database environments and HHS EPLC framework.
• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience with Splunk or equivalent log monitoring tools.
