What you will do

• Review and accurately code Cardiology IR/CV surgery, E/M visits, and office procedures.
• Ensure all coding complies with Medicare, Medicaid, and third-party payer guidelines.
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining a consistent 95% accuracy rate.
• Communicate effectively with leadership regarding coding documentation issues or trends.
• Stay current on specialty-specific coding guidelines and maintain professional credentials.
• Participate in departmental meetings and educational sessions.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States.
• Minimum of 5 years of physician coding experience, including at least 3 years in Cardiology IR and Vascular.
• Active and in good standing AHIMA or AAPC professional credential (e.g., CCS-P, CPC).
• CIRCC credential is required.
• Proficiency in anatomy, medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10-CM, and modifiers.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and electronic healthcare record systems.

Nice to have

• CCVTC, CPMA, or additional specialty certifications.
• Experience with Epic or Cerner PowerChart.
• Auditing and billing/denials experience.
• Experience with Google Workspace.
