What you will do
- Develop, monitor, inspect, and recommend measures to correct and improve hospital registration performance.
- Track and report trends to remediate issues and support preventive actions for ongoing internal process improvement.
- Conduct facility analysis of denials and prepare review findings with recommendations.
- Partner with clinical departments, Patient Business Service (PBS) center, Payer Strategies, Compliance, and other revenue cycle teams to drive denial initiatives and resolution.
- Maintain awareness of regulatory and payer changes to support correct charging and billing requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Three (3) years of revenue cycle experience (e.g., billing, coding, PA, revenue integrity, collections).
- Strong knowledge of insurance and governmental programs, regulations, and billing processes (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, managed care contracts, coordination of benefits).
- Certification and membership in AAPC, AHIMA, HFMA, AAHAM, or NAHAM strongly preferred.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Experience understanding Revenue Cycle Key Performance Indicators and identifying vulnerabilities in quality performance.
- Working knowledge of denial-related software technology.
- 3 years revenue cycle experience in non-acute care for Physician Billing Denials Prevention.
