Trade Compliance Specialist

Location: Hybrid (Deerfield HQ Tues–Thurs; remote on Monday & Friday)

Salary: $56,000–$85,000 USD (base)

What you will do

• Prepare and review import documentation to comply with CBP regulations.
• Coordinate with customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate shipment processing.
• Support product classification using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) and maintain HTS codes and country-of-origin data.
• Track and monitor imports for timely customs clearance and support post-entry audits and internal compliance reviews.
• Maintain CBP-compliant recordkeeping and collaborate with internal teams to gather required documentation and product information.
• Stay current on trade regulations and participate in training sessions.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in customs compliance, logistics, or international trade.
• Strong understanding of U.S. import regulations and HTSUS.
• Experience working with customs brokers or freight forwarders.
• Knowledge of free trade agreements, country-of-origin rules, or duty drawback programs.
• ERP experience (SAP or Oracle) and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
