Electrical Engineer Intern (Avionics)

What you will do

• Own circuit board design from specification and architecture through schematic, layout, and validation.
• Design and integrate analog and digital circuits, processors, sensors, and power electronics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams.
• Rapidly iterate hardware designs based on evolving system requirements.
• Document design decisions, schematics, and validation results.
• Support system bring-up, debug, and hardware-in-the-loop testing in the lab.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) to comply with ITAR.
• Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
• Experience with PCB component selection, schematic design, bring-up, and debugging.
• Familiarity with serial communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C.
• Exposure to MATLAB, Python, or C/C++ for modeling and analysis.

Nice to have

• Prior project or internship experience with PCBAs for aerospace, robotics, or automotive applications.
• Familiarity with mixed-signal design, power electronics, or RF systems.
• Strong interest in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
