Embedded Software Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $140,000 - $175,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop embedded software drivers for sensors, actuators, and other avionics components
• Create embedded software applications for satellite subsystems
• Validate and test vendor provided avionics systems
• Execute integrated testing of avionics components
• Support on-orbit anomaly resolution activities

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive knowledge of C, C++, and Python
• Experience with Microcontroller software development and Linux shell scripting
• U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, or protected person status required

Nice to have

• Experience using laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and network analyzers
• Knowledge of digital communication interfaces (CAN, I2C, SPI, etc.)
• Familiarity with FPGA development in Verilog and embedded Linux design
• Previous experience with DoD and other USG development and deployment programs
• Ability to hold and maintain a USG Security Clearance
