Salary: $144,000 - $180,000

What you will do

• Develop, integrate, and test safety-critical Flight Software within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Perform performance and function-based testing using simulators, software labs, and aircraft prototypes.
• Analyze system requirements, architecture, and C source code to identify and resolve integration issues.
• Manage and resolve problem reports from test campaigns and implement corrective actions.
• Support aircraft production, ground-testing, and flight-test troubleshooting.
• Develop requirements and test plans for off-board tools and Flight Test System Interface scripts.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with critical, complex, real-time embedded systems.
• BS in Systems, Controls, Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering.
• Experience with flight controls, avionics, or powertrain systems.
• Proficiency in C, MATLAB/Simulink, bash, and Python.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, and TCP/IP.
• Must be based in San Jose, CA; company is unable to provide work visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with tools development and automation.
• Familiarity with safety standards DO-178C and ARP4754.
• Knowledge of RTOS and multi-threading.
• Experience with FPGAs and VHDL or Verilog.
• Experience with software CI/CD toolchains and processes.
