What you will do

• Own customer invoicing via Stripe and Rillet, improving the handoff from deal close to dollars paid and targeting one-day billing.
• Lead collections and manage accounts receivable to meet OKRs (past due AR under 10% and best-in-class DSO).
• Own accounts payable and vendor payment processes end-to-end, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Diagnose broken or slow processes, map what is happening, plan measurable improvements, execute with stakeholders, and track results.
• Drive automation opportunities across billing, collections, and AP, leveraging existing tools or exploring AI-powered approaches.
• Maintain 99.9% completeness/accuracy on monthly billing and keep customer billing inquiry exceptions at a 5% rate.

Requirements

• 5+ years in billing, collections, accounts payable, or accounting operations, ideally in startups or high-growth environments.
• Proven ability to inherit a broken/slow process and improve it with measurable outcomes (hours saved, error rate reduced, cycle time shortened).
• Fluency with Salesforce, Zendesk, Excel, and accounting ERPs (e.g., Rillet or NetSuite); ability to learn new tools quickly.
• Judgment and communication skills to work with US-based teams from overseas; speak up when something doesn’t add up.
• Strong systems thinking and attention to detail, with the ability to scale processes to 5–10x volume without breaking.

Nice to have

• Experience with Stripe, Ramp, or other payment platforms and billing tools.
• Comfort with AI tools and ability to write SQL queries or work with data to unblock improvements.
• Background in tech or SaaS startups with experience in operational scaling.
