Senior Software Engineer (Marketing Engineering)

Location: Must be based in or near San Francisco. This role is 5 days a week in-office at 1 Market St., non-negotiable.

Salary: $180,000–$220,000

What you will do

• Implement, inventory, and monitor third-party integrations including conversion pixels, trackers, and analytics.
• Optimize performance and ensure data veracity across various web properties.
• Collaborate with Leadership, Legal, and Marketing teams to balance speed, compliance, and technical performance.
• Work across a diverse stack including React, Next.js, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, and WordPress.
• Debug complex issues involving network traces, logs, and vendor documentation.

Requirements

• Must be based in or near San Francisco and able to work 5 days a week in-office.
• Strong working experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
• Hands-on experience implementing third-party APIs, pixels, and trackers.
• Proven ability to monitor third-party implementations for uptime and data integrity.
• Strong investigative and debugging skills with logs and network traces.
• Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with GDPR, cookie compliance, and consent banners.
• Familiarity with AI tools for coding, testing, and research.
• A/B testing experience with tools like LaunchDarkly.
• Experience with Sentry, Transcend, AWS Lambda, and Cloudflare Workers.
