What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 8 product and platform engineers responsible for the messaging backbone and Flow Builder.
• Drive reliability, throughput, and cost efficiency for high-volume messaging systems.
• Manage the messaging platform as an internal product, coordinating with other engineering teams.
• Own the team's on-call rotation, incident response, and postmortem processes.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and integration teams to execute technical roadmaps.
• Recruit, hire, and perform people management duties including 1:1s and annual reviews.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US or Canada.
• 4+ years of leadership experience managing engineers and developing top performers.
• Experience leading teams that own high-volume, business-critical distributed systems.
• Experience running internal platforms that other engineering teams depend on.
• Proven track record in recruiting and onboarding engineering talent.
• Experience in early-stage or high-growth SaaS environments.
