AI Program Manager

TL;DR

AI Program Manager (AI/Data Science): Designing and implementing multi-disciplinary AI programs in support of client strategy with an accent on stakeholder engagement and risk mitigation. Focus on managing complex AI and machine learning projects within a DoD environment while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

Location: Must be based in the USA (McLean, VA; Norfolk, VA; or San Diego, CA). Role may require occasional in-person work at Booz Allen or customer facilities.

Salary: $69,400 – $158,000 (annualized USD).

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain strategic, multi-disciplinary AI programs.
• Manage project schedules, coordination, and delivery for AI, Data Science, and Machine Learning initiatives.
• Engage with stakeholders, including senior executives and Flag Officers.
• Anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks and conflicts across various workstreams.
• Guide and review the activities of junior team members.
• Apply functional and industry knowledge to solve problems of moderate scope and complexity.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Secret clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in planning, coordinating, or delivering AI, Data Science, or ML projects.
• Proficiency with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement and interacting with senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Nice to have

• Master's degree.
• PMP or SAFe Program Consultant Certification.
• Experience writing Performance Work Statements (PWS) or Statements of Work (SOW).
• Knowledge of project management practices in a DoD setting.
