What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end assembly and execution of monthly £20m+ payment runs.
  • Validate billing accuracy to ensure all eligible customers are charged and payments are collected.
  • Reconcile incoming funds and resolve complex edge cases, including BACS returns and misattributed funds.
  • Map and document the current payment process to eliminate key-person risk.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to flag high-value automation opportunities.

Requirements

  • Deep hands-on experience running high-volume, complex payment or billing operations.
  • Proven track record of owning end-to-end reconciliation in regulated or complex transaction environments.
  • Strong first-principles operational thinking to reflow and optimize messy processes.
  • Available to start quickly and comfortable in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to energy or utilities payments (e.g., half-hourly metering).
  • Experience in automating or syshirify.globalatizing payment operations.
